The BSO Mid-week Concert Series

The BSO is pleased to continue to offer three age-appropriate concert series. A teacher's guide for each of the concerts is available. There are no tickets, just reserved seating for our group. If you have any questions, email Jocelyn Davey.

Karen Callaway Williams, tap master

Explore the roots of jazz, blues and beyond with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Your journey will teach you how African drumbeats, moving spirituals, and ragtime have helped to shape this popular genre. Hear the music of Duke Ellington and Baltimore's own Eubie Blake, and enjoy the dancing of tap master Karen Callaway Williams.

Join the BSO and master storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston for "Anansi the Spider and the Moss Covered Rock" with theatriclowns Mark Lohr and Tim Marrone. Hear the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra play this composition based on the traditional West African folktale, and explore other traditional music and dance from around the world!
