Children's Chores

submitted by Beth Kiesel

Every homeschooling mom wonders how to get it all done. Here are some ways to get the kids involved and get the chores done!

These chore charts are organized around mealtimes. If a meal is desired, the chores need to be done first! Each child is in charge of his/her own bedroom, one-half of a bathroom, and a room in the main living space. You will need to change the files according to your own home, family size and ages of children.

I tape the chore charts in the kitchen for the children to view as needed. I tape the detailed instructions somewhere in the room they pertain to (for example, the bathroom cleaning instructions get taped inside the medicine cabinet.)

(Note: this method was adapted from the book, A Mother's Rule of Life, by Holly Pierlot.)
